Approved Inspectors Ltd is one of the largest Building Regulation Specialists in the UK, with 60 employees operating from four offices and dealing with over 6000 new projects each year. We provide a regulatory service for any type of building work from small domestic extensions through to large commercial building schemes with a nationwide coverage from our offices in Lancashire, Manchester, Cheshire and the Midlands.

Based at our Head Office in South Lancaster you will be working within a proficient business support team, in a friendly and supportive environment.

Main Duties

  • Provide business support to the technical team and senior management team.
  • Manage Building Regulation application administration from quote through to completion.
  • Data entry to our bespoke database system along with other tools such as Microsoft Office.
  • Provide front of house services including answering telephones and meeting and greeting visitors with friendly professionalism.
  • Handle incoming calls with excellent phone etiquette, directing inquiries to appropriate team members and providing outstanding customer support.
  • Dealing with incoming and outgoing post.
  • Participate and contribute to team meetings.
  • Ensure all company processes/QA procedures are followed.

What We’re Looking For

You will have experience in a busy office environment with excellent organisation skills and the ability to multi task under pressure. Candidates should have strong verbal and written communication skills and a focus on excellent customer service. You will have a flexible approach, with the ability to problem solve and make decisions. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential.

Salary and Benefits

Successful candidates will be offered a competitive package relevant to their experience and abilities, with salaries starting at £26,000.

To enable a better work life balance for our employees our full time working week is shorter than most at 33.75 hours per week, worked Monday to Thursday from 9am to 5pm and Friday from 9am to 12.45pm.

Our full-time employees are entitled to 37.5 days annual leave (eight days to be reserved for the Company’s Christmas shut down and 7.5 days to be reserved for bank/public holidays).
