New Dwellings Pre-Submission Guidance

Useful information about the process and information we require for new dwelling projects, prior to submission of the Initial Notice.

Part R Connectivity Plan Template

From 26 December 2022, all newly constructed dwellings are to be provided with gigabit ready physical infrastructure as outlined by requirements RA1 and RA2 of the Building Regulations (Requirements RA1 and RA2 do not apply to dwellings formed by a material change of use). It is therefore a requirement for all Building Control Bodies (BCB) to not only provide a statement on the IN but to also provide details at submission stage. The details that are required to accompany the application are set out in a new ‘Connectivity Plan’ which must be completed by the client/agent prior to submission.
